Jason is our founder and serves as Managing Director of Bristlecone Trail Partners (“BTP”). He is responsible for overseeing the firm’s activities, executing all client engagements and leading the firm’s investment decisions. Jason has nearly two decades of experience serving in leadership roles in investment banking, corporate development & strategy, and private equity. His background spans both B2B and B2C businesses across numerous industries, including essential residential and healthcare services, specialty pool supply retail, life sciences, technology and cleantech, and gaming. Jason founded BTP after discovering a need for accessible, high-quality, and high-touch strategic advice for lower-middle market (ie., $10 to $100 million annual revenue) home service and healthcare service businesses.

Prior to founding BTP, Jason served as Vice President of Corporate Development with Leslie’s Inc., a publicly-traded retailer of essential pool supplies and hot tubs, and Goettl Home Services, a private equity-backed provider of home services. Before joining Goettl, Jason served as Director of Corporate Development & Strategy at International Game Technology, a NYSE-listed, leading global supplier of gaming content and solutions. Prior to that time, Jason worked in investment banking with Wedbush Securities, advising corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets activity, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, and private placements.

Jason earned his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, where he graduated with High Distinction. Jason holds a BS in Accountancy and a BS in Finance from the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU. He is also a graduate of Barrett, The Honors College.

In his free time, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife (Kimberly) and son (Carson), hiking, putting in time at the gym, playing golf, vacationing in the Caribbean, and reading. Jason and his family reside in Surprise, Arizona.
